K Graduation and more...

It has been a fun and crazy week! We got a new pool for the kids to play in this summer. It is small but perfect for the boys and a couple of friends to fit in to cool off in the summer heat.
Tyler had his Kindergarten Graduation on Wednesday. It was an hour of singing and dancing and reciting poems. Tyler did a fabulous job and was so handsome in his suit (Mackay's suit) and cap and gown. He said he wanted to look good for graduation. He actually sang out the song very loud, I was surprised to hear that from him.
Thursday we had a picnic for Tyler's class. The kids had fun playing at the park, throwing water balloons, and squirting with squirt guns. I was put on the grill, grilling the hot dogs for the soaked bunch. I think they stuck me at the grill so I didn't throw water on the teachers like I did when Mackay was in Kindergarten.
We made it for the last little bit of Mackay's class party. They were having fun eating and dancing. There were a lot of cute kids in his class so hopefully we will able to have him play with some of them during the summer.
Friday the kids woke up to searching the house for a book to read over the summer. Mackay got a book called (Diamondback Cave), which is a sequel to "Serpent Tide" a book we read last year. Mackay likes them because the main characters name is Jack Mackey. The kids played at a neighbors house while I helped a friend clean her house. We didn't do too much otherwise that day. In the evening I was getting dressed for bed and noticed that I had a bunch of red bumps all over my stomach so like my computer, I have caught something. I am hoping to go and get that checked out tomorrow. Thus, I stayed home from church today along with the kids just in case it is something while Justin worked. He has put in a lot of overtime this week and we have hardly seen him. We miss him a lot!
Oh! Saturday we went and saw Disney's "Up" in 3D. In was a very cute show. I was surprised at how good it was.

Apologies

I just want to apologize to all of you who are on my facebook account! A terrible thing happened this week without me even knowing. Thanks to friends I found out this problem. Anyway my facebook account was hacked into and sent mass messages to friends and family. I guess the content to the message were not pretty. I have no clue because I didn't see it and have not been on facebook since. I am planning on deleting my account when I get the go ahead from my husband to even enter the domain of facebook. Anyway I feel somewhat vialoted and would really like to hack off the fingers of this hacker that has caused so many problems for everyone. I hope everyone will still want to be my friends! I am really bummed because I was able to contact some old friends and don't have their emails or anything. Major Bummer!

Hating Goodbyes!

I am just contemplating life and the many people I have met over the past several years. I am really grateful for all the people we have met become friends with and even having some come to be as close as family. We just hosted a farewell party for some friends tonight and just now I am feeling sad for all of the friends who have left and missing them all.
This week has been busy. I don't think that I was hardly home. Tyler had a field trip to McDonald's on Tuesday and then the boys and I were off to the dentist to get teeth cleaned. Both boys had no cavities, yippie! Wednesday I spent my morning at the Education Resource Center (ERC) laminating things for Mackay's teacher. Wednesday evening I went to RS Enrichment which was very good. We learned about the fruits of the spirit and had a lot of great tasting goodies. Thursday I went to the doctor and then headed back to the ERC for more laminating. Thursday night was fun hanging out with the gals at Lugo's for Merry's last girls night. Friday we headed down to the temple. It was great being there. One of the ladies that I did work for has been waiting for over 500 years to have her work done and the spirit was so strong I know she was very grateful and felt that from her. Saturday the kids and I worked all day on getting the house and yard cleaned. The boys were actually very helpful so that was nice. Now there is only 4 more days of school left and looking forward to a fun filled summer. Also for all who are counting down, only one month until the beach, can't wait!

Dating Advice

This is pretty funny! When Justin and the boys were coming home from Fathers and Sons last week end they brought home a single adult guy with them and had to hurry home because he had a date. Mackay said, "You have a date, well, I have some advice for you". I think the guy was pretty skeptical, but Mackay gave the advice anyway. He said, "First you need to be kind, second you need to buy her flowers, and third you need to take her to a movie." Well, there you go dating advice from and 8 year old.

As for Tyler, he told me the other day, "Mom, I never want to get married."
I replied, "Why not?"
He answered, "because it is too kissey".

So there you go my little Casanova and my little not wanting to have a relationship kid. They are so opposite in many ways.

Let's hear it for the girl...

This is our kitchen without counter tops. We got to live in chaos for a week
while our counter tops were being made...
This is the awesome plumbing job that I did by myself.
Three cheers for Shar! It only took 5 hours and 4 visits
to the local Home Depot and assistance from their plumbing department.

Viola...our new counter tops. I love them! Justin said this
was my Mothers Day, Birthday, Christmas, etc... for the
next 5 years. What a sweetie!

The full view...What do ya think?

To tell you the truth I am just all fizzled out. This week was quite the week and I really don't live well in chaos. This is why the title of my blog because I am just so proud of myself for all I accomplished this week. Here goes my list:
Exercised for an hour 3 times this week, cleaned bathrooms, dusted, did 9 loads of laundry, emptied out all of my cabinets in my kitchen, replaced contact paper in cabinets, removed the stove and cleaned behind it, installed brace boards behind the dishwasher and cleaned behind and underneath it, put another brace board in the corner by the sink, installed 5 corbels to the bar area for the new counter tops to sit on, watered my garden every day, took kids to school and picked them up everyday, took kids to scouts and piano lessons, weathered through Mackay's homework for an hour every day, mowed the lawn, trimmed the bushes, cut back the rose bushes, raked up all the dead leaves under the bushes, did crafts just about every day with Tyler, wrote in my journal, played soccer at the kids soccer practice, made dinner every night without a kitchen sink, helped at the school all day Thursday, brought home projects from both teachers and finished them, finished a book, read to kids every day, cleaned up after the counter top installer people, put everything back, got the man and boys off to Father's and Sons, installed the sink and replaced all of the plumbing, cleaned my kitchen good, filed papers in file cabinet, etc...
That was a mouthful! I am sure there was much more, just thinking about everything makes me very tired. I am very proud of my self being able to install all of the kitchen sink stuff. It really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Here is to self reliance and self determination! I have already given myself a pat on the back and completely surprised my husband. He just kept saying, "You did it by yourself". Yes sweetie, I did!

Don't you love it when...

I love it when my kids are happy and they were so happy when we went to the Pine Wood Derby. We made them tank cars and they thought that they were so cool. The Derby was last Friday in April. It is such a low key Pine Wood Derby. Our Cub Master is awesome. He just lets the kids race the cars as many times as they want and nobody keeps track of anything. It was fun. Tyler was happy because he could do it too.
I love it when my parents come. They are so great at helping out and helping getting things done. My dad helped me replace the faucets in our bathrooms and fixed our door going from the garage to the backyard. He also did a lot of cleaning of our yard. My mom was just helpful getting things ready for Mackay's baptism and doing little odds and ends. It was great!
I love it when things happen in a smooth and pleasing way. Mackay was baptized on Saturday and everything went great. They prayers were great, the baptism went smoothly, and the talks were really good. I asked Mackay how his baptism was and he said "Good". Then I asked him how he felt and he said, "Happy". I have never heard so few of words out of the kid.
I love it when my parents bring me presents. My mom found a purse my grandma made for me when I was a little girl. I don't know if I appreciated it when I was younger but it is a great purse. Mackay and Tyler were fighting over who would be able to play with it. I thought that was hilarious. Anyway I have a picture of Tyler holding my purse in the collage above.
It was a really great week and weekend. Memorable in every way!
