Happy Birthday to .......me!

Okay so this morning I got up early as usual, even thought the kids told me I needed to sleep in and was doing my normal routine when my husband told me he was going to go into work early. So he left and came back with these beautiful long stemmed red roses. It wasn't just a few, it was 40. It brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. What a great guy!

Okay so I am 40 I admit it! Although I still feel like a young 20 year old. Boy has time gone by fast. I have been living it up this month. It all started with a trip to San Francisco to run a half marathon and see Wicked to hiking with my family and lastly we are going to take a trip to where I was born. Yes, we are finally going to Canada. I was born in Edmonton and will finally go and see the city I was born in. We have been trying to go on this trip for the past 3 years, but things always got in the way. This year it is becoming a reality. I am excited!

Today was a great day and I have a blessed life. I have wonderful parents who brought me into the world and great friends who support me and love me. I also have a wonderful husband and two beautiful or I should say handsome boys that keep me on my toes. Life is good and I need to enjoy every minute of it!

Happy Father's Day

Just got off the phone with my dad! I really love him a lot! My dad has been so patient, giving and an all around great dad. THANKS!

I also love my father-in-law. We miss him very much, but know his is always with us in our hearts.

My husband is also great! He always wants the best for me. He supports me and is excited about the things that I want to do and accomplish. He also know when I need a break. I am so glad that I have someone who takes care of me every day.

We played this Father's Day pretty low key. We had yummy blender wheat pancakes, eggs, and hashbrowns for breakfast, then gave dad his gifts which were mainly a few books that we thought he would enjoy on hiking and the area we live in. The kids also made him some Lego creations. We went to church then had Teriyaki Chicken, green beans, and couscous for dinner. It was yummy! It was just an all around relaxing day!

Amazing...

Absolutely love this musical!
We are the champions

Alameda Half Marathon

I know it is amazing that I am actually writing something on my blog. I just have been to busy doing other things that I haven't taken the time to read any one's blogs or write in my own. Sorry!

Also amazing - Yes I ran a half marathon on June 5 and actually finished. I even finished in under 3 hours - that was the goal. I had a blast in Oakland and San Francisco hanging out with my fellow runners Becky and Ronelle and our great nurse and chauffer Erin. We ate at great restaurants, shopped, road a subway, and went and saw WICKED! It was great!
